Tracking Widget
The neat little tracking widget you see on the left hand there will give you a color code for the status of a bill or a case. Those codes are explained below. Some of the bills and cases will be clickable. Clicking on a clickable bill or case will take you to a page that lists all of the posts from this site that discuss that topic. Often, it will also bring up a topic page with links to further information.
The current version is 1.1. Future versions will parse data live from the Legislature’s on-line databases to update the status. For now, it comes from my own XML database.
RED means the bill is dead or the case is overruled.
YELLOW means it has hit a considerable roadblock, or the case is depublished, depricated, or contradicted.
GREEN means the bill is still alive, or the case stands.
BLACK means the bill is now law, or the case has been affirmed by the highest possible court.
WHITE is neutral, and will apply mainly to appellate cases.
